Is there a Gab desktop app?
Last updated June 17, 2026
There is no standalone desktop application for Gab, but the gab.com website is fully featured in any modern browser on Mac, Windows, or Linux. No download required — just go to gab.com.
Using Gab on desktop
The Gab web interface at gab.com is a full-featured social platform. You can post, browse your timeline, manage groups, watch video, send direct messages, and access all of Gab's features from the browser. Most Gab power users operate primarily from the desktop web interface.
Browsers that work well
Gab works in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Brave, Edge, and most modern browsers. Brave is popular among Gab users for its built-in ad blocking and privacy features. There's no meaningful performance difference between browsers for Gab's interface.
PWA on desktop
If you want a more app-like experience on desktop without browser chrome (address bar, tabs), most browsers support installing a Progressive Web App. In Chrome or Edge, look for an install icon in the address bar when visiting gab.com — clicking it creates a standalone app window that opens Gab without the full browser interface.
