Is Gab a Christian platform?
Last updated June 17, 2026
Gab was founded on Christian values by Andrew Torba, and Christian communities are among the most active on the platform — but Gab is not a Christians-only platform and welcomes users of all faiths and backgrounds.
The founder's faith
Andrew Torba is openly Christian and has written and spoken extensively about his faith informing Gab's founding mission. He describes Gab as a platform built on Christian principles: commitment to truth, free expression, family, and rejection of the surveillance capitalism model that treats human beings as data to be sold. This influences the platform's culture but doesn't restrict who can join or post.
Christian communities on Gab
Gab hosts large, active Christian communities — prayer groups, Bible study groups, pastors, and Christian commentators, many of whom were removed from YouTube or demonetized for stating traditional Christian views. Christianity is one of the most prominent content categories on the platform.
All are welcome
Gab's free speech policies protect religious expression from all traditions — Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and others — as well as secular and atheist perspectives. The platform doesn't enforce any religious test for membership. What you find on Gab reflects who joined and what they post; the rules apply to everyone equally.
